PSCU Financial Services Welcomes Chevron Federal Credit Union

Large California Credit Union to Convert 55,000 Debit Accounts

St. Petersburg, FL (June 2, 2008) – Chevron Federal Credit Union (CFCU) has signed a five-year agreement to convert its 40,000 offline debit and 15,000 PIN debit accounts to PSCU Financial Services.

CFCU executives report that they are changing to PSCU Financial Services’ debit platform because of its industry-leading fraud management technology as well as its 24/7 Contact Center. The Contact Center will manage lost and stolen accounts and provide after-hours member service.

“The conversion of this large and influential credit union is testimony to our leadership in the debit arena,” said David J. Serlo, President and CEO, PSCU Financial Services. “In addition to outstanding fraud management and Contact Center support, we have a dedicated debit team that focuses on creating promotions designed to stimulate growth within credit unions’ debit portfolios. We make it convenient and cost-effective to actively promote debit cards, resulting in additional interchange income and greater member loyalty."

PSCU Financial Services’ debit program is rapidly expanding. It topped 500 million transactions in 2007, a 117% growth over its 2003 transaction volume. Debit account growth is up 66 percent for credit unions who process debit through the cooperative, from 4.1 million accounts in 2003 to 6.9 million at the end of 2007.

PSCU Financial Services continuously develops new marketing programs to boost penetration, activation and usage among members who have either not activated their debit cards or are averaging less than five transactions a month.
