The Business Continuity Institute's Good Practice Guidelines and Stages

The BCI has published a set of Good Practice Guidelines for Business Continuity Management. These guidelines do not in and of themselves provide a BCM competency and capability, rather, they provide a generic framework and standardized approach to enable and inform their development. In particular, these guidelines are designed to provide assistance in understanding and applying the Business Continuity Management principles.

The guidelines are divided into six sections—each based upon a stage of the Business Continuity Management life cycle and process. They draw together the collective experience of leading Business Continuity Management practitioners from the Business Continuity Institute.
